Our club has a long history of scuba diving, 63 years of it!  We want to involve you in all there is to offer in this diverse and exciting sport. There are lots of  opportunities in the Teesside area and beyond, to dive, explore and develop your diving.

As  our club house is loacted at the South Gare Redcar we can easily and regularly dive all the local wrecks and the reefs on our two RHIBs (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat). All the members are friendly and welcoming to experienced divers or new divers alike. We all have a common interest in diving and the natural world.

Scuba diving locally and abroad!

We have quick and easy access to dive all local wrecks and reefs in and around Teesside. The club is a member of the excellent South Gare Marine Club  and we can easily use it’s nearby slipway to launch and recover.

Why become a member you ask?

With our own air compressors and enriched air (Nitrox) on site, two RHIB‘s, a clubhouse and bar, all located next to the sea and within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, our members can service all their diving needs at low prices. We’ve got new divers and experienced divers covered!

The club house bar serves alcohol and soft drinks to members and is a convenient safe and welcoming place where members can socialise. You can even play darts and pool if you want to. We meet up on Thursday nights for a few drinks and talk about diving. We sometimes also open up on other nights if the evenings are long enough to get a dive in before the bar opens at 8pm.

The club is a diverse welcoming family friendly club. We regularly have social events for members and  family  day trips out on the boats to keep everyone involved.

Club steeped in history

The club has been operating since 1957. The club has been at the heart of the South Gare community and celebrates the areas maritime history. We also own a wreck “The Ocean” which offers a deeper diving experience.. The club has also throughout the years accumulated knowledge of interesting reefs and wrecks in the area. The club house is a museum of past  diving and offers an opportunity for future exploration and understanding of the local marine environment.

Not just another scuba diving club!
